Abstract:

Contains mostly personal correspondence between Eva Davis (née Weintrobe) and Morris Davis covering the time period up to and including their marriage in 1938. The bulk of the letters are addressed from Eva in Liverpool, England to Morris in London prior to their marriage. Later letters are addressed from Eva to Morris who is living in the United States and whom she eventually joins to be married there. Topics include occasional references to deaf life and cultural events and facing discrimination from United States immigration officials.
